These terms apply to ads bought in The Winchendon Courier — in print, online or in the Morning Brief — from Winchendon Media Co.
Booking and paying
Ads are booked at thewinchendoncourier.com/fr/advertise for a chosen space and edition, at the price shown when you book. Payment is by card through Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your card number. A space is held for you only while you finish paying.
Deadline
Ads for an edition close three days before it, at 5 p.m. (the Monday before a Thursday paper). After the deadline, the next edition is the first one open.
Approval
Every ad is reviewed by the editor before it runs. We may decline an ad that is false or misleading, unlawful, offensive, or that looks like a news story without saying it is an ad. An ad we decline is refunded in full. Ads that resemble news are marked as advertising.
Your ad
You confirm that you have the right to use everything in your ad — words, pictures, logos — and that what it says is true. You are responsible for its content. If we make the ad for you, we will show it to you before it runs.
How it appears
Print ads are black and white; online ads are in color. Online ads count how many times they were seen and tapped (see thewinchendoncourier.com/fr/privacy), and those counts are shared with the advertiser.
Changes and cancellations
To change or cancel a booking, write to editor@thewinchendoncourier.com before the deadline. If an ad runs with an error that is our fault, we will run it again correctly or refund it. Our liability for any ad is limited to what you paid for it.
