We want everyone in town to be able to read The Winchendon Courier.
What we do
- We build pages to work with screen readers and keyboards and to fit small phones.
- Stories have a Listen button that reads them aloud.
- Buttons and links are made large enough to tap.
- Photos carry captions, and meeting stories link to the full recording.
- The printed back issues can be read page by page, zoomed, read aloud and searched.
- The paper is also in Spanish, Portuguese and French.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
If something doesn't work for you
Tell us at editor@thewinchendoncourier.com — the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We will answer, and we will fix what we can. If you need a story in another format, ask and we will send it.
